Highstreet Party Pieces

Hey guys!

Since christmas is coming up, which means parties left right and centre, i thought i'd throw together a quick post of party pieces from different high street stores that would be perfect for any occasion.

As you can tell i'm a massive fan of anything that sparkles/has sequins on. I hope you all have a wonderful December!

Outfits for University!

Hello! Long time no posts i'm sorry. However i'm trying to get back into blogging so please bare with haha!

Since the summer has flown by and we're now entering September, a lot of people will be either heading out to university (or college if you're american!) either for their first year or for the remaining years. With this in mind i thought i'd put together a post on what i think are the wardrobe basics for starting university especially with the season transitioning into autumn.

By no means am i saying you have to dress a certain way at university, as you'll most likely find out when you get there, students are very diverse in their fashion sense. You'll get people who dress fully made up in a complete fashionable outfit, you'll get the ones who come in their pyjamas! and both are totally acceptable. However i fall into the first category therefore these are based on what i wear at uni either to lectures or just hanging around with my friends!

For nights out again i've based these on what i see people out in, what i like to go out in and on cost as well. I must admit i'm big on shopping but i know more than anyone else the struggles of being a poor uni student (lets not talk about how much my overdraft is...) so i've factored that into both of these sets to make all items affordable!

Also just a tip: on nights out, heels may seem like a good idea but i can promise you a stylish pair of flats will make your life soooo much easier! (i just end up wearing my black leather converse on a lot of nights out as we walk into town)

So these are just a guide to what i would wear (minus the heels, already a giant without those!) and i hope you find this helpful! if you want to know where the items in these pictures are from, head over to my polyvore which is linked at the end of this post!

House of Holland False Nails Review

Hello!

So recently i was on the verge of giving in growing my nails and spending £25 on a set of acrylic nails, however since it has been about 8 months since i last had them i wasn't so sure if i would like them/be used to them so when i was in boots, i saw these amazing looking nails on the 3 for 2 offer, so i picked up these three designs:

£8.99 each

First i tried the "Ghetto Gold" ones but i found that the plastic gold diamonds got caught in my hair and one of them fell off. I was also disappointed to find that the nails kept coming off with the slightest pressure.

"Ghetto Gold"

I only had these on for 1 day before i gave in and took them all off (by pulling/peeling them off which i don't recommend as this does ruin your nails, oops!).

Next i decided 2am would be a perfect time to re-apply a different design, even if i did have a 9:30am start the next day. This is when i thought i would try the "Ombre Ombre" set, however this time using a lot more nail glue (as these claim to last 10 days if applied correctly).

Apart from being slightly messy and unevenly applied (s'what happens when you apply them at 2am) they still look pretty nice after 5 days of them being on and none popping off yet.

I'm yet to try the last design as i still have the ombre ones on but i'm sure they'll be just as good as these ones!

Overall i'm so pleased with these nails and have had plenty of compliments on them and would recommend you try these- just remember to lather them in glue! but not too much glue that your fingers stick together...

Zante - Part one

So, i have just got back from my first girls holiday to Zakynthos (or zante) and thought i would make a post on the whole experience.

We decided to stay in kalamaki which is about a 5 minute taxi away from lagana which is the main clubbing town, we all agreed that this is the best thing to do as some clubs don't shut until morning and it can get really loud and dangerous in laga where as kalamaki is nice and peaceful (although if you're looking to stay in a hotel that has big groups of other teenagers then you'll want to be in laga, our hotel had a few other groups of girls but there were a few families and we got a lot of stares when all dresses up and drinking tonnes from the bar, oops!) So here are a few pictures of where i stayed!

The hotel is called The Golden Sun Hotel, amazing staff and its really clean and pretty! as you can see you're very near the airport so you do see/hear planes really close but you get used to it and they don't fly at stupid times in the morning.

I would really recommend booking through thomas cook as they are so helpful and the reps are amazing! we booked all of our events through our rep such as the lifes a beach BBQ party which was really good, most of the guys working out there are really hot as well haha!

These are some pictures from the life's a beach party, the full plate of food is mine and the bottom one is my friends (it's a running joke in our group because i eat tonnes of food), i would really recommend booking onto this as it's a lovely afternoon out.

I'm going to end this post here and create more parts in separate posts, if there's anything specific you want me to talk about just message me :) x

Bleach London!

Okay so as many of you know, i've been using bleach london products quite a lot lately and i absolutely love them! they are great quality for the price and the products smell yummy too!
The things i own/have used are:

  • Dipdye kit (used and would recommend! i prefer it to the wild ombre by L'Oreal)
  • White toner (yet to use but i will let you guys know when i do use it!)
  • The Big Pink (such a great vivid colour but does fade really quickly)
  • Washed Up Mermaid (gorgeous green/blue colour but the green isn't easy to get rid of)
  • Awkward peach (yet to use it on hair that is light enough but it looks like it will be cute)
  • Repair mask (comes with the dipdye kit - amazing! made my hair feel so soft and silky even though i had just bleached it)
Next time i go to the nearest boots that sell bleach london i'm going to invest in the swamp spritz as i've heard many good reviews on it :)

here are some of the looks achieved with bleach london:
